Heelys gets to grips with sidewalk sports
Best known for its wheeled footwear, American lifestyle company Heelys, Inc. has launched a new grip technology, MaxTrax, in its new line of Sidewalk Sports footwear.
Developed for numerous “sidewalk” sports such as riding a bike, skateboard, or scooter, the new line is designed to help the feet stay in-place with a “grippy” rubber outsole.
“The Sidewalk Sports line is just what the market has been missing," said Don Carroll, senior vice president, Marketing. “There are several different brands of shoes out there, but none of them offer design and technology quite like our MaxTrax technology. As an innovator in sidewalk activities, Heelys wants to continue to push design and technology to the next level and offer kids products that will enhance their skills and increase their enthusiasm for physical activity.”
