Fashion remains dominant at Midec

19/02/2008

The international footwear trade show Midec will open its doors for the last time as a single entity on February 24, before it joins forces with the leathergoods show Salon de la Maroquinerie in September this year. However, the focus of the show will remain firmly focused on fashion, with exhibitors presenting their latest    products and brands.

New exhibits will include the “Fashion Focus” area, divided into the five sections of Paris Chic, Success, Sport Casual, Kids, and Designers, and has been put together to enable buyers to view flagship products. Another new area will be the “Coups de cœur” (Hit products) space, which will highlight the products of six prize-winning companies, chosen by the show’s jury.

The event will also host the prize-giving ceremony for the “Le cuir, vivez-le!” awards, organised by the Conseil National du Cuir.
