According to German luxury fashion leather goods and footwear group Hugo Boss AG, the company’s chairman, Bruno Sälzer, will step down from his position at the end of February “by way of amicable arrangement” after 12 years at the brand.

A statement said: “The separation is caused against the background of different views on the further business policy of the company. The leaving arrangement still needs the consent of the supervisory board.”

The company will begin a search for a replacement immediately.
