American footwear company Timberland plans to make a big impression in the service industry with the launch of a new slip-resistant model, The Timberland Pro Black series. Developed to meet the specific needs of workers in the service and hospitality industries the footwear includes features such as a SafeGrip sole to provide lightweight slip-resistance and shock absorbency on both wet and dry surfaces and the company’s PreciseFit insert system to improve fit.

“We developed Timberland Pro Black series using our footwear expertise and an in-depth understanding of the needs of the end-user,” said Jim O’Connor, director of marketing. “We’re providing a real on-the-job footwear solution for the full time professional working in the most demanding service environments. And for this consumer, footwear performance and aesthetics can be equally important elements.”
