Crispin acquisition helps Delcam achieve record
Having already reported record sales in the first six months of the year, UK-based developer of CADCAM systems Delcam set a new monthly sales record in December 2007, boosted by the company’s recent acquisitions, including specialist software supplier Crispin Systems Ltd. early last year (see www.footwearbiz.com January 18, 2007).
According to the company, the growth in sales reflected an ongoing pattern throughout the year and came partly from increased sales of its Power Solution range of CADCAM programs and partly from its acquisitions of FeatureCAM, PartMaker and Crispin during the past three years.
The company achieved total sales for the month of £3.75 million — a massive 30% higher than in December 2006, as well as achieving a 20% rise in fourth quarter sales to break another company record.
"December is normally Delcam’s best month for software sales. We have achieved record sales in each December for several years so setting another new record is, in itself, pleasing rather than surprising,” commented managing director Hugh Humphreys. "However, to beat the previous December’s results by such a large percentage is a remarkable achievement and one of which everyone associated with Delcam can be very proud.”
