Having just reported a 10% rise in sales for 2007 (see www.footwearbiz.com January 30), branded work and outdoor footwear and apparel company LaCrosse Footwear, Inc., will hope to maintain its momentum with the launch of new technology and footwear styles at the Shooting, Hunting, Outdoor Trade (SHOT) Show in Las Vegas next week (February 2-5).

Under its LaCrosse brand the company will launch the new Alpha II Series waterproof and scent-free rubber boot featuring OptiCirc Technology. Developed to address the interior climate of the boot, the OptiCirc Technology employs performance fibres and an open-air nylon mesh in a Comfort Control lining which is said to increase airflow and improve comfort. The new boot will be available in several styles including the Realtree APG HD with Comfort Control lining, the Realtree AP HD featuring Comfort Control lining with 3.5mm neoprene for lightweight warmth, and the Mossy Oak Treestand with a 5mm neoprene layer and Comfort Control lining.

Lacrosse will also showcase the Danner Vanish GTX. Built on Danner’s EXO Lite platform it features a Gore-Tex Scent-Lok lining to provide waterproof and scent-free protection for close-range hunting situations where scent control is required.

The Vanish GTX is also available in several models including the Mossy Oak Brush, the 9-inch Mossy Oak Break Up, and the 9-inch Realtree AP HD with Thinsulate Ultra Insulation.

Commenting on the launch of the new ranges, president and chief executive Joseph Schneider said: “After coming off of a very successful 2007, we look forward to continuing to meet our customers’ demands for extremely functional, durable and reliable products.”
