The Clarks Companies N.A., a wholly-owned subsidiary of UK-based C&J Clark, is to launch its children’s footwear brand, Clarks kids, on the US market in March.

Specially designed to fit the children’s feet, the line is available in a full range of width fittings and whole and half sizes for children aged 0-five. Its Clarks kids’ “First Shoes” collection includes crawlers, cruisers and walkers made to nurture and protect as babies move through the key stages of foot development, while Clarks kids’ toddler and pre-school shoes are designed to ensure children have confidence as they begin to run and play. All of the shoes in the collections feature built-in growing room and additional padding for comfort to the foot.

“Our goal for introducing Clarks kids in the US market is to offer our customers a choice in premium children’s footwear,” said Bob Infantino, president. “As with all our shoes, we invest significant time in research and development to make sure we deliver the best possible fit and the highest quality materials. We think the collection will be greeted with the same excitement it continues to gather in the European market.”

Already established in Europe, Clarks kids retains a 24.7% volume of the UK market.
