Peru's commission of export and tourism promotion, Promperú, is hoping to step up the sectors presence at the International Footwear and Leather Show (IFLS) in Bogotá, Columbia, which will take place next week (February 5-8).

The agency has arranged for a delegation of Peruvian footwear, leather and leathergoods producers to exhibit at the event, which is attended by visitors from across the region including Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, Panama and Venezuela.

Promperú hopes that participating at IFLS will help to improve footwear and leather exports to Columbia as well as other Latin American countries, and enable Peruvian manufacturers to build up contacts with potential buyers.
