‘Healthy’ shoe company to expand
UK-based online retailer and wholesaler of ‘healthy’ shoes that are said to help reduce back pain and improve poor posture, Love Those Shoes, has secured a £250,000 working capital facility in order to support the company’s planned expansion to its brand portfolio.
Established in 2003, the company, which currently sells eleven brands via its website and has secured distribution deals in the UK and Europe with brands such as Earth and Power Diet, plans to increase its range to include new brands such as the Airun exercise trainer and increase its turnover to £40 million over the next five years.
Glenys Bird, managing director commented: “Our aim is to become the market leading retailer of innovative healthy footwear and to achieve this we have plans to introduce more brands into the UK and make our products accessible to a wider market. As the business grows it’s essential to have the right funds in place to support our expansion plans.”
The firm currently sells around 5,000 pairs a month and has a turnover of £2.5 million.
