American-based retailer of casual apparel, accessories and footwear Pacific Sunwear of California, Inc. has appointed its interim chief financial officer Michael Henry as senior vice president and chief financial officer.

Having joined the company in September 2000, Mr Henry has served as vice president, controller since February 2006. Prior to joining the company, was a manager in the audit practice of Deloitte & Touche LLP, where he worked for six years.

As of January 5, the company operated 840 PacSun stores, 120 PacSun Outlet stores, 154 demo stores and six One Thousand Steps stores in 50 US states and Puerto Rico.
