TaylorMade-adidas Golf Company has named David Abeles senior vice president and general manager for the TaylorMade Golf United States business unit. Mr Abeles returns to the company from Cobra Golf, where he was vice president of sales and marketing, having held several roles at TaylorMade between 1995 and 2001.

In his new role he will oversee the 350-person workforce responsible for the TaylorMade business. He will also will sit on the company's senior executive team and manage the sales, marketing and financial functions in the United States.
