R.G. Barry to launch Nautica footwear
American accessory footwear company R.G. Barry Corporation has sealed as an exclusive three-year North American licensing agreement with lifestyle apparel company Nautica Apparel, Inc., a subsidiary of VF Sportswear, Inc., to develop the first men’s, women’s and children’s slippers under the Nautica and J-Class brands. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
As a result of the agreement R.G. Barry has named Susan Smith as vice-president Sales to oversee the new licensed brands. Prior to this appointment she was a national accounts manager based in the R.G. Barry’s New York City sales office.
The company expects to introduce the first collection, a line of Nautica men’s slippers later this year, with the other ranges to follow.

Founded in 1983, Nautica products include men’s, women’s and children’s apparel and accessories which are sold in more than 64 countries through over 190 Nautica branded stores worldwide.
