Expo Riva Schuh attracts more visitors
Reflecting a more positive general mood in the Italian footwear sector, visitor numbers were up by 2% at last week’s Expo Riva Schuh footwear show compared with the January event last year.
11,238 visitors attended the fair where 1,125 exhibitors presented their new collections for autumn/winter 2008/2009, of which a significant 58% (6,480) came from abroad, with a particularly strong showing from central Europe.
Commenting on the success of the show, event and internationalisation manager Brigitta Bancher stated: “We are pleased with the final figures and above all they make us feel confident about our next important challenge — the first edition of Expo Riva Schuh Middle East.”
Expo Riva Schuh Middle East will take place on February 17-19 at the Expo Centre in Sharjah, in the United Arab Emirates.
