Footwear exhibition EFICA 77, held in Buenos Aires on January 12-15, attracted over 10,000 domestic and international visitors this year, which showcased the autumn/winter 2008 collections of some 170 local shoe manufacturers.

An International Buyers' Round was also held at the event, organised in conjunction with Argentina's Industry Secretariat and funded by the Inter-American Development Bank, in which seven footwear buyers from Bolivia, Spain, the USA, the UK, Mexico and Peru participated.
