Lectra to focus on footwear
French developer of integrated technology solutions for the soft goods and footwear industries Lectra will present a wide complete range of products developed specifically for the footwear market at the Materials at WSA Expo and Conference in Las Vegas next month.
New models on show will include the latest versions of its well known Romans CAD Software dedicated to footwear — a 3D solution which is said to significantly accelerate the collection creation process through real-time sharing of all data generated during the design phase of new products between decision-makers, designers, suppliers and customers.
"With traditional processes, a company with multiple sites needs a certain amount of time to develop a model from the first sketch to design approval. With the tools Lectra is offering, the time needed to develop and approve a virtual product and produce the only physical prototype necessary for final validation is significantly reduced," said Pierre Bonnet, director of the footwear, luggage and leather goods market.
