New research facilities opened at INESCOP

President of the Valencian government, Francisco Camps, recently opened a new 2000m2 extension to the Technological Institute of Footwear and Related Industries (INESCOP) in Elda, Alicante, Spain. The premises include new footwear research facilities for development and testing in areas such as biotechnology, bio adhesives, and environmental issues, as well as housing new pilot plants and advice and training services.

The opening ceremony was also attended by Rafael Calvo, president of FICE (Federation of Spanish Footwear Industries) and José Juan Sanchís, president of the association of Elda and Valencia shoe industries.
