New president at J. Jill
American women’s footwear, accessories and apparel retailer The Talbots, Inc. has appointed Paula Bennett as the new president of its J. Jill brand. She joins the company from Orchard Brands where she was president and chief executive of Appleseed's, Tog Shop and WinterSilks brands. In her new role, Ms Bennett will be responsible for the growth and profitability of the brand, including merchandising, marketing, direct marketing, and stores.
Trudy Sullivan, Talbots, Inc. president and chief executive stated: “This appointment represents another significant step for the company, as we have nearly completed our key initiative to bring in the right talent to revitalise and reposition our brands for future profitable growth."
The Talbots, Inc. currently operates 1,428 stores in the USA, Canada and the UK, with 1,157 stores under the Talbots brand name and 271 stores under the J. Jill brand name.
