Rapid growth in prototyping recognised
American rapid prototyping equipment developer Objet Geometries, Ltd. has been named as the winner of consulting company Frost & Sullivan’s Growth Excellence of the Year Award after posting double-digit growth rates year-on-year for the past three years.
The company attributes a great deal of its success to the introduction of its patented PolyJet technology in early 2000, which uses inkjet heads to create ultra-thin layers, each of which is cured by ultraviolet light after the jetting stage. This produces fully cured models ready for immediate use, without the need for post-curing.
“Objet Geometries’ products are widely recognised for their high quality, accuracy, speed and versatility and more importantly for the output, which closely resembles the final product,” said Frost & Sullivan senior research analyst S. Vidyasankar. “Further, the growing acceptance of PolyJet technology is actually one of the factors that have fuelled market growth.”
Established in 1998, Objet’s solutions, which are designed to reduce the cost of product development cycles and shorten the time-to–market of new products, are used in many industries including the footwear, automotive, electronics, toy, and consumer goods.
