Glimmer of hope for Charles Jourdan?
Despite having been put into liquidation on December 17, there may still be hope of a rescue for French footwear company Charles Jourdan.
The brand was believed to be finished after American company Omnicient pulled out of talks in December leading to a commercial court ruling that the company was to be put into liquidation; however, two companies have now approached the administrators and registered an interest in the firm.
Although speaking on the new development French Secretary of State for Business Hervé Novelli was quick to point out that no firm offer had been made, it must have ignited a glimmer of hope for the 197 workers that were employed at the Romans-based firm.
