Lanxess raises prices
German chemical company Lanxess has increased its prices worldwide for hexane diol (HDO) by €60 in Europe and by $200 elsewhere and trimethylol propane (TMP) by €250 in Europe and $400 elsewhere.
According to the company, the increases have been necessary because of significant rises in the production and transport costs and as a result of shifts in the exchange rate between the euro and the US dollar. In the case of TMP, the rise in price also reflects a “drastic rise in manufacturing costs” due to higher raw material and energy expenses.
