High demand from exhibitors leads to expansion
The Italian footwear trade fair Expo Riva Schuh will be held in two locations in January because of the large number of exhibitors that have registered for the show.
Because of a lack of space to further extend the exhibition area at the Riva del Garda site, a selected group of companies will show their products at the Casinò di Arco, some five kilometres away. The two sites will be linked by a shuttle service to allow visitors to view all of the collections on show.
Commenting on the growth of the event, Giovanni Laezza, director of Riva del Garda Fierecongressi said: “The success of Expo Riva Schuh is also due to its favourable geographic position in Trentino Alto Adige, which places it at the centre of the crossroads between Northern and Eastern Europe, encouraging dialogue with operators and products in Mid-Europe. Furthermore, our scheduling ahead of the international trade fair calendar allows Expo Riva Schuh to present a very early preview of next season's collections, allowing buyers to plan a large part of their budget."
Some 1,100 exhibitors from over 33 countries have registered to take part in the event on January 12-15, which is expected to attract over 11,000 visitors.
