Plínio Fleck presses the right buttons

20/12/2007

Brazilian company Plínio Fleck Group is said to have designed a new way for footwear manufacturers to attach the heel to the outer or midsole of a shoe when using pre-assembled heels.

The new system uses a specially designed button made of machined carbon steel, with an optional zinc finish, which has an inner thread that is then attached to the sole/midsole. This is said to provide better stability, a neater appearance and make turning shoes more comfortable than when using traditional nails.
