Timberland to make better use of IT
14/12/2007
Footwear brand Timberland has bought new data warehouse management software from technology provider Teradata.
The company will use the new tool to gain clearer insight into the way its business works globally; the software will allow it to see more quickly and more clearly which products are selling well and how sales trends are going in different parts of the world.
The company's chief information officer, Rosalee Hermens, said on announcing the decision that she viewed the investment in Teradata's technology as an important part of Timberland's strategy for driving improvements in its business performance "in the first half of 2008 and beyond".
