Converse and Target team up
American sports footwear and apparel brand and subsidiary of Nike, Converse Inc. has teamed up with retailer Target Corporation to offer Converse’s One Star vintage-inspired sport lifestyle footwear and apparel exclusively at Target stores across the USA from February 2008.
Under the agreement Target, which currently operates 1,591 across the USA, will stock One Star exclusive and limited edition footwear for men, women and children as well as lifestyle and vintage-inspired sportswear collections.
“This collaboration will enable us to deliver an innovative, premium head-to-toe lifestyle product collection while creating an exclusive One Star offering for Target guests," said Jack Boys, chief executive at Converse.
Launched in 1974, the One Star label has became popular amongst surfers and skaters scene in the 1970s and 1980s and later by the grunge music scene in the 1990s.
