Footwear sales up 26% at Geox
Italian classic and casual footwear manufacturer Geox S.p.A. has posted improved sales for the nine-month period ended September 30.
Sales increased 26% to €693.8 million. Footwear sales represented 93% of sales, totalling €646.9 million. This is a 26% increase compared with the same period in 2006. Apparel sales accounted for 7% of sales, with a value of €45.1 million, rising 49% year-on-year.
Domestic sales accounted for 37% of total sales compared with 42% in the same period last year. Italian sales totalled €259.6 million, up 12% increase. Meanwhile, international markets generated €434.1 million, a 37% growth. Sales in Europe were up 28% to €319.3 million, while in the US sales rose 37%.
