Moldovan products could gain free EU access

The European Commission has received a proposal for a regulation which would give Moldovan products unlimited and duty free access to the EU market.

Moldova already benefits from a special incentive arrangement for sustainable development and good governance (GSP+). However, the new proposal will be even more far reaching.

The EU imports mainly footwear and textiles, metals and agricultural products from Moldova, with bilateral trade totalling €1.2 billion.
