Adidas unveils new Predator in Paris
Adidas has presented the new Predator PowerSwerve at the Place du Trocadéro in Paris. Liverpool FC captain, Steven Gerrard, and other football players opened the 11-metre tall shoe box and presented the new football boot to the public.
Each player received their new boots, which they will now wear when playing for their clubs and national teams.
Players wrote their personal advice for young football players onto the open shoe box and these messages will be featured on all Predator shoe boxes.
Former captain of the French national team, Zinédine Zidane, helped develop and test the new boot. Compared with its predecessor, it can offer up to 8% more swerve and can increase the power behind shots by around three percent. This is achieved using Dynamic PowerPulse technology in the sole of the boot and hi-tech foam in the forefoot upper material.
The model will be available in black/white and white/black from December. Additional models will be launched in 2008.
