Stephan, Alex and Christian Birkenstock recently acquired shoe manufacturer employee-owned Birkenstock Distribution USA and have set up a new company called Birkenstock USA LP. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

President and CEO of Birkenstock Distribution, Gene Kunde, will run the new firm, which will continue to be based in Novato, California.
