ArchPort Shoes is suing apparel company VF Outdoor for making shoes which ArchPort claims violate a patent.

The company has been selling footwear with removable inserts whereby items can be stashed in the soles for seven years and believes the Reef “Stash” shoe contravenes the patent. The Stash sandal features a removable insert in the sole with a latching feature to secure it in the sole.

The company says that Reef customers who have purchased the Stash sandal may be eligible to trade their pair for the ArchPort shoes.
