New appointments at Hi-Tec
Edward van Wezel – son of Hi-Tec chairman, Frank van Wezel – has been appointed general manager of the outdoor footwear company. Mr van Wezel has worked at the firm in various roles since 1999 and his new role will see him watch over the day-to-day running of the global sports and outdoor business.
Meanwhile, Chris Mole has also been named as the company’s group sourcing director. He joins the company from Ernst and Young, where he served as special projects consultant for six years. He will be responsible for production and logistic issues.
In addition, Helen Durant has been promoted to new group PR manager. Ms Durant joined the company in 1998 and has been responsible for its UK advertising and PR campaigns for the last six years.
