Fashion footwear, apparel and accessories retailer Nordstrom is to open its first Hawaii full-line store with an evening gala on March 5, 2008. Guests will be offered hors d'oeuvres, cocktails and buffets, live entertainment and the opportunity to do some ‘sneak preview’ shopping in the new 210,000 sq. ft. store.

There will also be a full runway fashion show of American and European designer spring collections in a tent adjacent to the store.

The event is expected to raise $300,000 for three organisations: Bishop Museum; the Hawaii Theatre Center; and HUGS (Help, Understanding and Group Support).
