Ariat uses Cognos solutions
Footwear and apparel manufacturer Ariat International, Inc. is to use Cognos performance management solutions to analyse product sales performance and optimise decision making.
The company makes equestrian performance footwear, apparel and small leather goods and, until now, has been using a variety of manual spreadsheet-based planning solutions that offer limited reporting and analytical capabilities. It has also found consistency to be an issue during reporting.
Ariat will use Cognos 8 Planning to deliver a real-time planning, budgeting, and forecasting process throughout the company, particularly in the sales, finance and inventory demand planning departments. Cognos 8 BI will be used to report and analyse results against key performance benchmarks, enabling executives to quickly react to changing market conditions.
