Singapore's footwear prices fall
Overall consumer prices in Singapore fell 0.3% in September compared with the August figure, according to the country’s statistics department. Meanwhile, year-on-year prices were up 2.7%.
Footwear and clothing prices fell 0.9% compared with August to reflect cheaper footwear and ready-to-wear garment products. Other decreases were seen in the housing and transport and communication sectors. Food prices were among the few areas to see increase.
