Santa Barbara-based Deckers Outdoor Corporation, which owns footwear brands Teva, Simple Shoes, and UGG Australia, has reached number nine on Forbes’ 2007 list of 200 Best Small Companies, up from number 80 in 2006.

The list is based on annual sales, growth percentage, net profit and operations/management styles. This is the third consecutive year Deckers Outdoor Corporation has been ranked on the list.

Forbes has also highlighted Simple Shoes’ eco friendly footwear on a list of hot products from the 200 Best Small Companies.
