Rosa mosa launches autumn/winter range

A new rosa mosa autumn/winter collection from young shoe designer duo Simone Springer and Yuji Mizobuchi has been launched.

The collection is based on Austrian traditional crafts with a twist and is said to be “playful, unorthodox and cosmopolitan”.

"We are here to experiment and invent," says Simone Springer. "Our design translates traditional shoe handicraft into modern stylistic dialogue infused with Japanese elements."

Its Anni and Edwina models are made from patched carpets handwoven in Salzburg. The shoes features thick, naturally dyed cowhides in burgundy, black, dark brown and brandy with minimal seams and sole-layering techniques to accentuate the clean and provocative look for the season.

The duo’s clogs use oiled wooden soles implanted with a PU core that are specifically designed for comfort and the designers source from and work with local Austrian suppliers and manufacturers. The leather used is predominantly coloured using chrome-free vegetable tanning, while coating and bleaching techniques also help create its exotic colours and textures.
