Footwear contributes to high growth at Oakley
Outdoor goods company Oakley, Inc. has posted a 37% earnings increase compared, helped by 26% sales growth. The company's net income $23.7 million compared with $17.3 million in the year-ago period.
Net sales were $263.8 million, up from $210 million in the same period last year.
The company’s AFA (apparel, footwear and accessories) net sales totalled $52.2 million, up 12.8% from $46.3 million in the prior-year period. AFA growth included significant contributions from apparel and footwear, and a double-digit increase in watch sales.
For the nine months ended September 30, the company's net income rose to $50.89 million from $37.12 million Sales for the nine-month period increased to $726.11 million from $565.5 million in the prior-year period.
