Crocs celebrated the opening of its first official UK store in Covent Garden, London, today. A giant ice cube was drafted in for the occasion to draw attention to the new winter collection which will be available at the outlet. People from the industry, press and members of the public gathered at the store’s inauguration.

However, it has emerged that more schools in the US are banning the comfort footwear. Crocs sandals are following in the footsteps of flip-flops and Heelys, which are not permitted at most schools across the nation. This is partly a result of safety issues involving the colourful shoes. The bans include both students and members of staff.
