Porto Alegre Werner targets Chinese market

Brazilian footwear company Porto Alegre Werner, which sells approximately 1,500 pairs of shoes each year in China, is looking to double its sales in the Asian country in the near future.

The company’s exports to China are still fairly low, despite exporting relatively high numbers of footwear to European countries and the Middle East. It now hopes to maximise its opportunities within the country, which consumes approximately 4 billion pairs of footwear each year.

Porto Alegre Werner manufactures 2,500 pairs of shoes each day.
