France-based manufacturer of safety shoes Lemaitre Sécurité is to work with India-based leather, footwear and components producer Rahman Group in order to increase its safety footwear output.

Rahman Group, reportedly the largest manufacturer of safety shoes in India, also produces footwear in the UAE, while Lemaitre Sécurité’s Alsace unit is backed up by sites in South Africa and China. The two companies manufacture more than four million pairs of safety footwear each year between them, with a combined turnover of €62 million.
