According to organisers of the All China Leather Exhibition (ACLE), China International Footwear Fair (CIFF) and Moda Shanghai, CIFF attracted many new visitors and was instrumental in achieving a record number of buyers at the three shows.

Buyer numbers reached an all-time high of 15,279 at the fairs, which ran from September 5-7. Most came from the Shanghai area and nearby Zhejiang province, however, buyers from the Guandong province increased considerably this year, accounting for 12% of the total.

The shows attracted 1,193 exhibitors from 37 countries, including 23 group pavilions. Footwear exhibitors at CIFF included Chinese companies Kangnai, Aokang and Senda.

Next year’s shows will be held at from September 3-5, 2008.
