US-based chemicals company DuPont Packaging and Industrial Polymers recently formed a 45%:55% joint venture with Beijing-based petrochemicals group Sinopec to produce ethyl vinyl acetate (EVA) resins in China.

A new production plant with an annual production capacity of approximately 60 kilotonnes is to be built in Beijing and will serve companies in the footwear and apparel, packaging, adhesives, printing, wire and cable sectors.
