Native Americans inspire new Nike Air Native N7 shoe

Nike has introduced an athletic performance shoe designed specifically for Native Americans. Two years of collaborative research, development and fit testing were undertaken in partnership with the Native American community as part of the design process for the Nike Air Native N7.
As well as being built on a new Native specific last, the shoe is constructed from the inside out to improve comfort and fit. This reduces seams and layering, while foam inserted at key points provides additional cushioning in specific areas of the shoe.
Profits from sales of the shoe will support ‘Let Me Play’ programmes on Native American lands, which promote an active and healthy lifestyle.
It also fits with the company’s Considered design ethos, which focuses on sustainable innovation, reduced waste and product performance.
