Bakers Footwear rethinks strategy
25/09/2007
Following recent reports of sales declines and management changes at Bakers Footwear Group, Inc., it appears the women’s footwear retailer is to implement a series of cost-cutting measures.
This may involve job losses, changes to the company’s marketing strategy and reduced freight expenses.
Although it will be forced to pay various charges related to its streamlining effort, the company aims to save approximately $8 million as a result of the alterations, which should help lift fourth quarter income.
