Further footwear and component exports rises in China

The China Leather Industry Association has reported that footwear and footwear component exports increased substantially during the first seven months of 2007.
Between January and July, leather shoe exports totalled $5.5 billion compared with $4.1 billion in the prior-year period. Footwear components exports reached $602.6 million, rising sharply from $359 million in the first seven months of 2006.
