Two-month decline for Pakistan’s footwear exports

Pakistani footwear exports dropped by 3.5% in August, according to the country’s Federal Bureau of Statistics. Leather footwear exports fell from $10.5 million in July to $10.2 million in August.
Combined figures for July and August show an overall decline of 5.5%. The value of footwear exports for the two-month period fell from $21.9 million in the prior-year period to $20.7 million in 2007.
Leather footwear exports totalled $16.6 million, canvas footwear fetched $0.4 million and other footwear was worth $3.7 million.
