According to Malta’s National Statistics Office, the overall Retail Price Index rose 0.28% in August compared with July prices.

The most significant increase was seen in the food sector, while other rises were registered for beverages and tobacco, air fares and personal care and health.

Despite this, footwear and clothing prices fell by an incredible 5.8% as a result of seasonal sales.
