Family footwear retailer Payless ShoeSource Inc. has appointed Scott Ramsland senior vice president, general merchandising manager, for international operations. He will report to CEO and president, Matt Rubel.

Mr Ramsland and his team will be responsible for product direction and overall merchandising strategy in its international markets, which include Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, Canada and countries in Central America, the Caribbean and South America.

Prior to joining the company, Mr Ramsland was senior vice president, general merchandising manager, at Rack Room Shoes. He has almost 30 years of relevant experience.
