Swiss footwear company SpringBoost has introduced its athletic performance footwear in the UK for the first time.

Its Dorsiflexion technology positions the heel at a lower level than the forefoot which, according to the company, helps the wearer to run faster and jump higher. It is also said to improve posture and body alignment, alleviate pressure on joints and the lower back and enhance blood circulation in the legs.

The company’s products are based on ten years of extensive research carried out by biomechanical experts from the University of Lausanne and the University of St Etienne.

As a result of wearing the shoes, CEO, Andrew Silvestri, says: “Athletes can enhance performance in sports and training by enhancing muscle strength, speed and vertical leap.”

The company has launched its B-Fit (fitness) and B-Train (performance training) models and will also introduce Nordic walking, walking and volleyball styles in the near future.
