Visitor numbers up at GDS, GLS and global shoes & accessories

Exhibitor numbers at GDS, GLS and global shoes and accessories were more or less flat with numbers at last September’s edition (1,392 compared with 1,398 last year). The event, which featured upcoming shoe trends for the spring/summer 2008 season, was held in Düsseldorf, Germany, from September 14-16.

Visitor numbers were up from 33,000 last September to 33,500 at the recent edition. Exhibitors from 45 countries participated, while overseas visitors – accounting for 51% of attendees – travelled to Germany from 80 different countries. Visitors from the UK, the Benelux countries, Italy, Denmark and Sweden were particularly prevalent.

A large number of visitors at the trade show took part in events such as fashion shows, panel discussions and stand presentations. 

The event will be held March 14-16 and September 12-14 next year.
