Mexico hosts Vietnam for joint workshop

The Mexican and Vietnamese footwear industries have met in Mexico City to discuss ways of improving trade in footwear between the countries, which is currently worth $300 million a year.
Footwear industry representatives from both countries discussed ideas for increasing that sum.
One idea is that Mexico would favour imports of non-leather footwear from Vietnam while the Asian country would import more leather shoes from its North American trading partner.
